Engagement on extended access to GP Practices
NHS East and North Hertfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group are looking to improve access to primary care services, including making appointments available at times that are convenient to patients through the GP Extended Access service.
To achieve this we are working with our local GPs and engaging with our patient population to develop a service that meets their needs. The extended access service is starting with the nine GP practices in Welwyn and Hatfield from March 2018, with other areas of east and north Hertfordshire developing the service in the near future.
The service is gradually being introduced across different areas of east and north Hertfordshire, and as part of the development we are working with GP practices to engage with and hear the views of our patient population on what they would seek from the extended access service. As and when engagements open, patients should be invited to complete a questionnaire giving their views. Below you can see which geographic areas are currently open for engagement, but also the analysis of patients' views from other localities.
