GPs, Social Workers and anyone working in health or social care are invited to find out more about Hertfordshire’s team of Admiral Nurses that provide specialist support to carers and relatives of someone with dementia.
Charity Carers in Hertfordshire, which hosts the county’s team of Admiral Nurses in partnership with the national charity Dementia UK, will hold the Admiral Nursing: What, How and When event at Mill Green Golf Club in Welwyn Garden City on Tuesday 6th March 2018.
The Admiral Nurses will speak about their work and answer questions and be on hand if you want to talk to them further. The team help family carers facing dementia through expert guidance, one-to-one support and practical solutions.
You will also be able to learn more about HertsHelp and the county’s community dementia service, Hertswise, as well as speak to representatives from these services.
Carole Whittle, Health and Wellbeing Manager at Carers in Hertfordshire, said: “The event is a great opportunity to showcase the team’s specialist knowledge, skills and experience and how they can help families live well with dementia.”
If you would like to attend the event, which takes place from 12.30pm – 3pm, please call 01992 58 69 69 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
