Co-Production Workshop March 2019
Co-Production At It's Best - 21 March 2019
Are you a Commissioner of public services, an NHS clinician or a professional working in health and social care? Or are you a service user within health and social care – a Patient Partner, Ambassador, Volunteer or Carer? Then this event is for you...
Healthwatch Essex invites you to an afternoon exploring ‘Co-production at its Best’. How do you truly design with the users of your service rather than merely consulting them? What does meaningful user engagement really look like? And why is it so important that we place experience at the heart of decision-making?
Following the success of our Mental Health Ambassador’s programme which saw the co-production of the pan-Essex Mental Health strategy, with content influenced by real lived experience, we want to share the ways in which you can truly achieve co-production with service users. You will hear from the Commissioners and Ambassadors involved in this project, in the premier of our short film ‘Co-production at its Best’.
This event will offer the opportunity, based on our experiences, to:
- Understand more fully the value of the patient voice
- How best to incorporate co-production into your work
- How to engage with service users to facilitate co-production
For service users, whether already on board in voluntary roles, or considering sharing their experiences of health and social care services, this event will offer a chance to increase your confidence and share how your experiences can positively influence services.
