Future Heroes

'Future Heroes' is an annual Health and Social Care Careers Expo run by NHS East and North Hertfordshire CCG. It displays the wide range of different career options available within the health and social care sectors.

Our expo event is completely free to attend and will provide young people and their tutors with a rare chance to discover careers in the health and social care sectors through interactive, inspirational activities and demonstrations, and help young people visually bridge the gap between what they enjoy doing and what they could potentially do as a career.

Professionals working within the broad spectrum of careers available, so will be able to hear first hand from the people doing the jobs, what it takes to become a Health and Social Care Hero.

As well as interactive displays on the careers available, students will be able to find out the different education requirements and options to successfully land a career in their areas of interest, with talks and displays from the University of Hertfordshire and Health Education England.

Students and Tutors attending the Expo will be able to:

  • try their hand at different career disciplines
  • talk to leading staff working in those areas in Hertfordshire, and hear about what working life is like
  • sign up to work experience in different disciplines to make that all-important different on application forms
  • hear about the different educational routes into the professions and get tips on how to make their application a success
Future Heroes 2019 expo was held on Tuesday 2 April at The Fielder Centre.
