From 1 July 2022, Clinical Commissioning Groups will be cease to exist. Commissioning functions and information that has been previously held by East and North Hertfordshire CCG is transferring to the new NHS Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board (HWEICB) on 1 July 2022.

HWEICB will become the new data controller. Any questions about the use of data (including patient data) by the new ICB should be directed to hertsvalleysccg.hwecorporategovernance@nhs.net

There are no changes to how local residents access NHS frontline services in Hertfordshire and West Essex as part of these changes.

Hertfordshire Health Walks

Hertfordshire Health Walks is a countywide initiative of free, led walks coordinated by Countryside Management Service (CMS). It aims to help promote walking and encourage more people (all ages, backgrounds and abilities) to get outdoors, get more active and reap the benefits.

The Hertfordshire Health Walks schemes have around 270 trained volunteers leading a programme of 55 walks a week. We work in partnership with a variety of organisations throughout the county as well as forming part of the national campaign, Walking for Health (WfH).

Walking is a real positive for your health.  It has been shown that walking improves mental and physical wellbeing and can also prevent, help manage and rehabilitate from ilnesses.  Hertfordshire Health Walks are an ideal way of taking exercise.  There are local walks to suit all ages and abilities and completely FREE.

Lots more information, including local schedules, is available on the Health Walks website.

Broxbourne and Stevenage Borough Councils run their own health walk schemes
