Protect yourself and others
- Use tissues to catch your cough or sneeze. Bin the tissue, and wash your hands, or use a sanitiser gel if you have one to hand
- Wash your hands often and for 20 seconds with soap and water, particularly when at your 'destination' e.g. home or work. Use a sanitiser gel if soap and water is not available.
- Don't touch your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Avoid close contact with people who are unwell.
Stay at home if you have coronavirus symptoms
Stay at home for 7 days if you have either:
- a high temperature
- a new, continuous cough
Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital. You do not need to contact 111 to tell them you're staying at home.
The Department of Health and Social Care and PHE continue to provide information and actions for the public on the outbreak of coronavirus, including the current situation in the UK, advice for travellers and information about the virus and its symptoms.
