The NHS Explained
The NHS can often seem a complex and confusing for members of the general public. We are keen to ensure that our population has an understanding of how the NHS works locally, where is appropriate to access the right care for them, and understand what they might be entitled to, or could get involved with.
With this in mind, The Kings Fund produced an excellent animation that details the structure of the NHS, how it's different components connect and what the future might hold. You can view the video below.
Additionally, for those keen to take their understanding a step further, The Kings Fund, recently joined forces with FutureLearn, to offer a four week online course exploring some of these themes in more detail. Please click here to find out more details and see when the next course is running.
Members of the public engagement team can also deliver basic presentations explaining the local health and care system and how it works in east and north Hertfordshire. If you would like to book a presentation to a small group or community then please get in touch with us by calling: 01707 685 397 or emailing: email@example.com
