The NHS Long Term Plan

The NHS Long Term Plan

At the beginning of 2019 NHS England published the NHS long-term plan, which sets out key ambitions for the service over the next 10 years.

The Plan has been drawn up by frontline staff, patients groups, and national experts to be ambitious but realistic. As medicine advances, health needs change and society develops, the NHS has to continually move forward so that in 10 years time we have a service fit for the future.

Local engagement on the NHS Long Term Plan

NHS England have provided funding to Healthwatch England to distribute amongst their local agencies to conduct local engagement with people on the Long Term Plan and to hear your views.

We are currently working with Healthwatch Hertfordshire to see how we can best support these plans and proposed activities. If you would like to be involved and have your say on the Long Term Plan locally either get in touch with us on: 01707 685 397 or by emailing: or alternatively visit the Healthwatch Hertfordshire website by clicking here.
