Patient Network for Quality
We want to ensure the services we're commissioning are delivered with high quality, ensure best possible outcomes for patients, carers and their families, are effective and safe, and that patients are treated with compassion, dignity and respect.
The Patient Network for Quality (PNQ) was set up within NHS East and North Herts Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) to support its Quality Committee in helping to gain those assurances.
The group involved public members from patient participation groups (PPGs) and meets five times a year to discuss issues about quality of healthcare services provided to East and North Hertfordshire residents.
Members of the PNQ have been involved in quality monitoring initiatives on behalf of the CCG and the patients they represent. These include:
- quality assurance visits alongside members of the CCG's Quality Team
- contributing to, and reviewing, the CCG's urgent care plan
- reviewing patient experiences of outpatient clinics and discharge.
