From 1 July 2022, Clinical Commissioning Groups will be cease to exist. Commissioning functions and information that has been previously held by East and North Hertfordshire CCG is transferring to the new NHS Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board (HWEICB) on 1 July 2022.

HWEICB will become the new data controller. Any questions about the use of data (including patient data) by the new ICB should be directed to hertsvalleysccg.hwecorporategovernance@nhs.net 

There are no changes to how local residents access NHS frontline services in Hertfordshire and West Essex as part of these changes.

Sexual health

There are a number of ways you can get sexual health information, advice and treatment in Hertfordshire.  Sexual Health Hertfordshire provides a free and confidential sexual health and contraception services across the whole of Hertfordshire.

  • 9.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday
  • 9.00am – 1.00pm Saturday

Remember, there is no need to feel embarrassed or worried about contacting any of the services, the staff are there to help you.  Services are confidential and you don’t have to give your real name, but make sure that the service can contact you to give you the results of any tests.  The sooner you contact one of the services, the quicker you can receive appropriate support and reduce any worries you may have.

Sexual health services are commissioned by the Public Health Department of Hertfordshire County Council.
