Training and support from the CCG

Training and support from the CCG

We are keen to ensure that our volunteers are supported in undertaking their role by providing specific training to meet their needs, so that they feel confident, comfortable and qualified to contribute to our work.

All volunteers who are involved in service design, commissioning or procurement projects are offered detailed training to ensure that they understand the process involved and how the CCG and wider commissioning landscape operates.

We regularly signpost our volunteers to training opportunities provided by NHS England, the voluntary sector or alternative stakeholders.

Currently we are in the process of developing a Hertfordshire Health and Social Care Academy to enable our volunteers to gain a deeper understanding of the health and care sector, but also find out more about the opportunities to get involved and give their views across Hertfordshire. We are hoping that this will launch at some point in 2019.

If you would like to find out more about the training processes we put in place for patient volunteers or would like to book a place on an upcoming course then please get in touch by calling: 01707 685 397 or email: enhertsccg.engagement@nhs.net
